Yankee Candle & Starbucks – Friday Favorites | Maine Photographers

Every three or four months when we’re in southern Maine, Joel and I make a point of visiting the Yankee Candle outlet in Freeport. We usually end up leaving with two different candles since we rarely like the same scent (and because Joel ALWAYS wants something pumpkin, even if it’s not fall). We stopped by last Sunday after staying over at my brother’s and left with one candle that we both actually agreed on! It always depends on our moods, but this time we were both feeling something oceany. So, here’s a mini seasonal tradition that was a favorite this week. And here’s our yummy-smelling candle!

Another favorite this week was an old favorite. I might be the only one, but I tend to love a rainy day. It somehow makes it okay to sleep in, to putter around in pajamas until noon, and to cuddle up on the couch with a book and the DVR. Rainy days also always make me want to snuggle up with something else. A mocha from Starbucks (sigh). I tend to get a little too addicted to them if I let myself, so I’ve cut back to about one mocha a month. Today was that day, and it was blissful!
